Reclaimed Mahogany Jewellery Box

Made from reclaimed wood from an old mahogany front door and a board from a pallet sandwiched in the middle and glued together to form a single block which is then carved to freehand organic shape with a band saw. The lighter shade strip across the body of the box is a strong feature as well as the handle which is carved out of a drum stick left behind by the reggae band that used to rehear across the way from my workshop.

The interior of the jewellery box drawer is lined with black felt.
